Exquisite corpse #3 with Mathieu Baly by Bernardumaine Exquisite corpse #3 with Mathieu Baly by Bernardumaine
Exquisite corpse with Mathieu Baly :iconmateograph: mateograph.deviantart.com/art/…

He started on the left, then covered his drawing except for an inch strip at the edge of it; I completed on the right part...

As soon as I saw this I thought 'Facing Angkor" a collaboration I did with Marc Gosselin. I really miss going collaborations with other artists!

Forgive me but, I can't agree. Both of you are talented artists, no question. However, I don't think this blends well. The comical next to surrealism is not very enjoyable. I'm not trying to be mean or critical. Just stating my opinion. I'm sorry. Please don't take that as being rude I do so enjoying your Exquisite Corpse work.

You made a critique ,i think it's constructive and D.A is the place to express points of views  :)
(I still understand why some people disable critique or comments..i mean...why submit so?^^)
You're right Jason , my drawing looks like comics when i imagine things,have no plan,"dream awake",don't use documentation.
And the contours are too wide,big.
Fortunately,the composition,scale is not too bad and Bernard made some contours to melt a little the styles,
and i personally like the atmosphere  :D (Big Grin)
So thanks for your comment Jason  ;)

I'm beyond grateful that you understand. I was just stating my opinion on the piece. I enjoy your work as well as Bernard's work. You're both amazing artists, no doubt. Keep up the work and stay true to yourself.

No problem, Jankinismus....All I can say is it was quite difficult for me to match with Mateo' style ....I have tried to have a more linear drawing than the usual in order to get some sort of comic's style ;

I can completely understand. My best friend and I have tried many times to do a collaboration drawing and our styles are just way too different. It's still fun and I say continue, the pursuit of change is art in itself. I rarely comment on your work because anything I would say is generally already stated. Your work is brilliant and I admire your style. Your friends' work is brilliant as well but, it doesn't blend well in my eye and you strike me as someone who expects honesty from his watchers. Thank you both for your art and do please continue creating both together and on your own. Can't wait to see what you do next. Cheers.

The combination of middle east and far east (your half reminds me of Angkor Wat) blend together nicely.  I think you did a nice job of continuing Mathieu's style while making it harmonious with your own.  :)
